Service Description

In order to dye protein fibers such as wool or silk, we use acid dyes and heat. We can dye white or cream wool or overdye naturally colored wool for spectacular effects. We can dye cleaned fleece, roving or top, or yarn. Each method gives a different look to the final yarn. I have all the dyes and equipment needed. Once you learn the system you can come to the studio and use the dyeing room at other times. Bring well-scoured raw wool, prepared roving or top, or yarn. I have some of this available to purchase if you don't have any of your own, but check with me first. I don't have a class scheduled currently, but if you or a group are interested, let me know and we will arrange a class for your schedule.
